Day 1: Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Agdz

Depart Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas Mountains via scenic mountain roads. Along the way, stop for landscape photography of valleys, kasbahs, and traditional Berber villages. As the scenery becomes more arid, arrive in Agdz, a peaceful oasis town at the edge of the Sahara. Sunset photography opportunities around palm groves and desert light.

Day 2: Agdz - Draa Valley - M’Hamid

Travel through the beautiful Draa Valley, famous for its long palm oases, old kasbahs, and desert villages. This day is ideal for storytelling photography, portraits, and desert architecture. In the afternoon, reach M’Hamid, the last village before the deep Sahara. Sunset shooting in the first dunes and preparation for the remote desert expedition. Overnight near the desert.

Day 3: M’Hamid - Off-Road Sahara - Erg Chegaga

Today, the real adventure begins. Drive off-road deep into the Sahara, crossing dry lake beds and vast open desert landscapes. Arrival at Erg Chegaga, Morocco’s most remote dune system. Afternoon and sunset photography among massive dunes with no crowds. Night photography and Milky Way shooting under dark skies. Overnight in an authentic desert camp.

Optional walks with local guides to discover desert details and silence. Sunset and blue hour photography in untouched surroundings. A night photography session is possible. Second night in the desert camp.

Day 5: Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Ouarzazate

After sunrise photography in the dunes of Erg Chegaga, leave the deep Sahara and travel by off-road tracks toward Foum Zguid. The route crosses wide desert plains and changing landscapes, offering final opportunities for remote desert photography. Continue north to Taznakht, known for its Berber carpet traditions, where cultural and detail photography is possible. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Sunset photography around the kasbah landscapes. Overnight in a riad or hotel.

Day 6: Ouarzazate - Aït Ben Haddou - Ounila Valley - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
